MISSION STATEMENT

In the 21st Century, both private and public international law promise to be of genuine and critical interest to a broad range of individuals and organizations. This includes governments, businesses large and small, environmental groups, labor and human rights organizations, scientists, educators, students, and even tourists. Now more than ever, people are finding themselves confronted with a variety of transnational and international legal problems.

The purpose of this website: InternationalLawHelp.com is to provide members of the world community, including lay people, lawyers, businesses and even their governments, useful information on a variety of international legal topics, including conflict of laws, treaty interpretation, international arbitration and mediation, the drafting of international agreements and many others.

InternationalLawHelp.com can provide on-line information to students and teachers (or anyone else interested in the field of international law) concerning basic concepts of international law and information about current developments in the field. The sponsors of InternationalLawHelp.com, Howard S. Schiffman, Esq. and Robert I. Goodman, Esq. are attorneys concentrating in the field of international law.

InternationalLawHelp.com is not a law firm or law partnership. While the website welcomes inquiries of an educational or scholarly nature, we ask that it not be used to request actual legal services. In particular, the sponsors of InternationalLawHelp.com, Howard S. Schiffman, Esq. and Robert I. Goodman, Esq. can not and will not address matters requiring expertise in jurisdictions other than where they are admitted to the Bar. Furthermore, they can not and will not provide actual legal advice, representation or counsel simply in response to an e-mail inquiry. Sending an e-mail inquiry to a sponsor will not establish an attorney-client relationship nor will it require that one eventually be established.  In fact, Mr. Schiffman and Mr. Goodman regret that they are unable to respond to every e-mail the website receives. InternationalLawHelp.com, however, is the creative product of the cooperative efforts of two individual attorneys who seek to promote public education and high quality information about the subject of international law.
