like the site.

I am trying to get to grips with the current legal regime for remote sensing from outer space. I understand that it took some time for the UNCOPUOS legal sub committee to come to agreement because of disagreement between LDC's-who feared economic exploitation as a result of the free dessimation of RS data- and the space capable states. Does anyone have any idea what the current attitudes of the LDC's are, after 17 years of the principles which sided with the open skies principle? Are they pushing for further security assurances? have the principles resulted in the proliferation of data station technology and knowledge as envisaged? has there been much participation and consultation and has any cases been brought with regard to A. xiv (states having internation responsibility) and what effects has the commercialisation of data distributing services had? I have managed to find a lot of matrial regarding the principles themselves but not much about the current legal regime and the direction of the topic. does anyone have any ideas or know where I should look??
any help would be much appreciated.
